The Museum of Ellinwood as it stands today. Fresh new painting and historical silhouettes highlight the building and add a delightful pop of color and whimsy to Ellinwood's Main Street business district.

The Ellinwood Community Historical Society maintains a collection of over 20,000 items relating to the history of the community of Ellinwood, Kansas. A selection of records can be viewed on our website.  If you have a specific request, please contact us.

Located at 104 N Main, The Museum of Ellinwood is a community operated and Historical Society curated museum offering visitors a step back in time.  It’s a chance for guests to relive different eras of Ellinwood’s rich history and experience the colorful past of  our beautiful Kansas town.
 

The Museum of Ellinwood's collection includes:


Cultural and household artifacts including farm implements, furniture, textiles, clothing, musical instruments and more.

Archival materials including photographs, audio visual records and oral histories, from individuals, businesses,. families, and institutions across the region.

The collection continues to grow, as current and former Ellinwood residents, businesses, and organizations entrust the Ellinwood Community Historical Society with their treasures.
